A Personal Note from Our Director Executive Director, Bill O’Brien
Dear Members and Friends,
Good News! 230 members have contributed to SNL’s once-a-year appeal. Entering 2026, we know we will need the help of the 1770 members who have not yet responded.
In the coming year, many challenges, new and old, await us: uncertain future of funding from the state’s Office of Global Michigan, which supports our work in Northern Michigan’s rural communities; fear and anxiety among our immigrant circles of support and in our parish and high school circles in the face of anti-immigrant threats.
We must strengthen our work in SE Michigan and continue to slowly build an effective, statewide community of faith through our Statewide Council of Immigrants, organizing in the Gaylord and Saginaw Dioceses, and educational outreach in Mid-Michigan and the Thumb.
