We are faced with the prospect of more raids, deportations, and increasing militarization of our city streets. Your financial support is needed now more than ever, so that Strangers No Longer can grow our network of Circles of Support and continue to provide education, direct support, and advocacy to promote humane immigration policies. Every dollar counts!
It’s time for our 3rd annual Grassroots Fall Fundraiser Campaign. In past years, we have raised $65,420 and $97,297. But this year, things are different. We are experiencing tough times with attacks on immigrant brothers and sisters, as well as, cutbacks to programs that helped us expand our connection with people across the state. The CDC funding for our Bird Flu educational outreach to Dairy Workers finished on Sept. 30.
Many thanks to those members who have contributed to Strangers No Longer this year. Nearly 90% of our members, however, have not yet made a contribution. To reach our goal of $120,000, we need every Circle member and friend to contribute during the next 6 weeks. The health of a grassroots, community organization like Strangers No Longer, will be determined by the number of grassroots contributions, not by grants from foundations or the government.
