Why we’re going
Bringing our platform to the Capitol
On June 29, Strangers No Longer members unanimously ratified Building a Welcoming Michigan, our 2026 Policy Platform: a declaration of shared humanity rooted in our faith’s call to welcome the stranger.
On December 3, we carry that platform to Lansing. Plans include recognition in the Senate gallery, meetings with our senators and representatives, and possible meetings with the offices of the Secretary of State, Attorney General and Governor, all grounded in prayer and in the stories of our immigrant neighbors.
